William Kroner

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

A: My current plans for after graduation is to attend St. Olaf College up in Minnesota for Music Education with an emphasis on band and trombone pedagogy.

Q: What is your favorite high school memory?

A: I can’t really choose a favorite but one of my fondest memories from high school was from my freshman year at my old high school. My school hosted a huge jazz band concert the week before our spring break and everything that night was fun and had a lot of energy. It was also at the perfect time because the next day everything shut down for Covid.

Q: What is some advice you would like to share with your fellow Nighthawks?

A: My advice to other Nighthawks would be to take charge of your own education, whether that’s pushing yourself to get better grades, reaching out to teachers for help with a subject, or for upperclassmen college applications. Taking care of your education will leave an impression on others and will develop self responsibility, which will help you in the long run, even beyond high school.

Josephine Lynch

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

A: After graduation, I’m going to take a gap year to save up some money and explore the world a bit. This will also give me time to figure out what I really want to do as a career, because I haven’t made a concrete decision yet.

Q: What is your favorite high school memory?

A: My favorite high school memories definitely consist of all the marching band/indoor competitions I performed at with my friends. Being able to show off the culmination of MANY rehearsals (alongside the people I love) made for some unforgettable experiences.

Q: What is some advice you would like to share with your fellow Nighthawks?

A: My advice would definitely be to take a step back and breathe every now and then. I know that life can be very overwhelming sometimes, and trying to navigate all the drama, decisions, and crushing amount of school assignments can make you feel like you’re drowning. However, it’s important to keep in mind that these are temporary problems. One day, you’ll look back and realize that most of that stuff doesn’t really matter in the long run. Don’t ever give up on hope for a better future.

Olivia Patchin

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

Q: What is some advice you would like to share with your fellow Nighthawks?

A: To all of my fellow Nighthawks: buy the multipacks of energy drinks; high school is long and single cans just don’t cut it.
