There are a lot of movies to look forward to this summer and through the end of the year, from the Barbie movie to the Five Nights of Freddy’s movie, there’s a movie for everyone. And some people have been waiting a long time to see some of them.
June 30: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was directed by James Mangold, who directed The Greatest Showman and The Wolverine movie. It stars Harrison Ford, Mads Mikkelsen, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge and is a continuation of the Indiana Jones franchise.
July 21: Barbie was directed by Greta Gerwig, who also directed Little Women (2019). It stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Will Ferrell, and is the first “live-action” look at the lives of Barbie dolls.
October 27: Five Nights At Freddy’s was directed by Emma Tammi. The film stars Matthew Lillard, Josh Hutcherson, and Piper Rubio. The film is based on the hit videogame franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s.
November 7: The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequel to the first three Hunger Games movies.
December 15: Wonka follows Roald Dahl’s character, Willy Wonka, before he meets the Oompa-Loompas and before the chocolate factory. The film is directed by Paul King, who made the Paddington movies, and stars Timothée Chalamet, Rowan Atkinson, and Hugh Grant.
