Spring break is coming up quickly and with Covid-19 things may look a little different for everyone again this year. Just because Covid has made some activities difficult to do safely, that doesn’t mean you can’t have any fun. There are plenty of safe and fun places to visit and activities to do in Tucson that you do in over the break. 

One place you can travel to is Sedona. There are plenty of hikes and trails to explore such as Devil’s Bridge which is about a two mile hike despite the length it’s worth the walk due to its scenery and plentiful wildlife. It is called the Devil’s Bridge because at the end of the hike there is a big cliff that looks like a bridge. It isn’t man-made and you can see the whole forest area that surrounds it. Another fun place in Sedona is Slide Rock, an old rock that has water running through it which makes it a natural water slide. This is a lot of fun and would be a great way to spend your break, but with the virus there are only a limited amount of people allowed at a time so if you decide to go you should try to get their as soon as it opens so you can ensure a spot. There are also Jeep tours which take you on a tour of Sedona and you can see everything they have to offer.

Another place you can go visit for Spring Break is the Arizona Grand Hotel and water park. This is a four star hotel that has a water park which includes two water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool,and a splash pad for younger siblings you may have. The park is open and is sure to be lots of family fun. If you’re not looking for a water adventure there are plenty of other things to do at the Arizona Grand such as golf and dine-in restaurants. 

If you don’t feel like travailing and you wanna do something more local then you can to the movies. One movie that will be coming out around the time of Spring Break is Coming 2 America which is a sequel to Coming to America which was released in 1988 starring Eddie Murphy. This movie will be released March 5th which is a few days before Spring Break but it will still be in theaters over the break and it is a must see according to many critics. You can see this movie at theaters such as Harkins at Arizona Pavilions, The Roadhouse Cinema, and AMC in the Foothills Mall.

If you are looking for activities in Tucson there are plenty of things you can do. You can go walk around 4th Avenue which has lots of shops and restaurants as well as other activities. This is a great way to support local businesses in Tucson. Some other activities include walking Mt.Tumamac which is a big hill that you walk up that has one of the best views of the city. It has lots of scenery and is a good workout for people looking to challenge themselves. You can also have a fun time at Mt. Lemmon such as eating at the Cookie Cabin which is a wood cabin that serves American foods like chili and hotdogs but it’s also serves pizza and plenty of other dishes and you can’t forget their special homemade giant cookies which are the size of a small pizza they come in many flavours such as chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, Rachel, Brownie, and pumpkin-nut. There is also a sampler cookie which is a sample of each. They make these cookies in house and they are very popular. The Cookie Cabin is open from 11 A.M to 5 P.M if you want to eat there then you should try to go as soon as it opens since it is a small venue and it fills up very quickly. There are also plenty of hikes on Mt.Lemmon. You can hike up the mountain which is around a two hour hike from top to bottom there are also trails you can hike on Mt.Lemmon if you’re looking for an easy hike then you can go on Meadow Trail 5A which has lots of nice scenes it is only 1.8 miles long. If you want a moderate hike there is Aspen Trail which is a 3.7 mile hike and is known for its variety of wild flowers. If you are looking for a challenging hike then Blackett’s Ridge might be for you, it is a 5.7 mile hike but what makes the hike is that it also has a variety of wildflowers. The best part of this hike is the grand finale which is the view after you finish it. You can also have a picnic on the Mountain since there is an area full of tables and benches and each one has a little grill that you fill with wood if you want to cook or just have a fire to keep warm.
