2020 was a year of twists and turns that no one expected, many things were canceled because of the pandemic, and the senior class of 2020 didn’t get their full senior year. There wasn’t prom, regular graduation, or their last days at school.

But thankfully for the seniors of this school year (2020-2021), they will get a “prom” but not in the usual sense. Instead of a regular prom, with dancing and a DJ, this event is more of a “formal prom dinner” with games.

Since it is a formal event, Student Body Government leaders suggest that you dress in prom attire. The theme for the evening is “Enchanted Garden.” There will be music, games, and entertainment. Dinner will be catered by Sauce and the menu includes pizza, pasta, and salad.

In an effort to continue to ensure student’s safety, safety protocols will be in place and enforced. As a result, there won’t be a dance floor, masks will be required for attendees on campus, and seating will be reduced and socially distanced.

STUGO leaders suggest that Seniors save the date for this event. Tickets will be sold in the bookstore from the week of May 3rd to May 14th. Make sure to bring your ID and ticket to the entrance. Get your tickets as soon as possible and remember to have fun Nighthawks.
