Governor Hobbs’ H.B. 2484 limits student phone use in schools, aiming to reduce distractions and boost focus. Teachers generally credit the resulting strict policies with improving classroom productivity and student engagement. However, critics argue the rigid ban hampers essential communication with family and is an overly broad solution that unfairly targets well-behaved students.
