There are many seniors at Ironwood Ridge High School, and they have to start thinking about what their next step will be when they are done with their senior year.
The counselors have developed the 3E’s to help any student go wherever they want to go after high school. The first E stands for “enlisting”, which is any form of the military (marine, air force, army, coast guard), the requirements for it are to finish high school and take the ASVAB test, which measures the student’s potential for success in the military training.
The second E means “employed”, the way counselors can help the students if they decide to do this step is with the program called “Major Clarity”, which will help the students by doing assessments and see which career is better for the student depending on their interests.
The last E stands for “enrollment”, which is going to college after high school. The counselors will help the student by telling them what requirements, like classes and quizzes they need so the students would be able to attend any college they want and have all the requirements the school asks for enrollment. The counselors start in freshman year doing different presentations, the purpose of the 3 E’s is to help the students go wherever they want to go after they are done with their senior year. Every counselor will teach the students the basics of every E, so they will be able to decide what they want to do and where.
